DANDELION (Meditation) @ Sanctuary, Center for Yoga & Healing
Oct 19 @ 6:45 pm – 7:15 pm
mindbody-squarelogo-1386870776779←CLICK TO REGISTER  Yoga is a sanskrit word that means ‘union’ or to link’. Yoga is the practice of relationship – body and mind, mind and soul, individual and community. We practice the physical postures as a way to become clear and balanced. While classes at Sanctuary vary in theme, temperature, and style – the goal is always the same. We practice breathing, strength, peace and transformation.
Meditation is the path that bridges us between living in anxiety and living in peace. The yogic sages speak to this age filled with quarrel and anxiety. There is no human being that can escape stress. The practice of meditation allows us to focus the mind on the center of our being and allow the excess noise and mental garbage to release. Actually, the practice of yoga is mostly about meditation. We practice the postures and flow to prepare our body and mind to sit in meditation. And as we practice, we become clearer in every moment – from making big decisions to small ones. This makes us more compassionate, calm, and loving.
Mediation classes are led by qualified teachers who live their practice daily. Classes may vary by guided mediation, mantra mediation, and visual symbol or yantra mediation. No experience is every necessary to join the class. Any age and any spiritual practice from atheist to bhakti yogi can enjoy the benefits of this class. We’ve made it only $5 donation so that you can easily come and bring friends. No one will be turned away. And we will all shine a little brighter from the time spent in community.
We’ve name our Meditation class DANDELION for it’s anti-aging, healing, and purely positive quality.

We practice the physical postures as a way to become clear and balanced. While classes at Sanctuary vary in theme, temperature, and style – the goal is always the same. We practice breathing, strength, peace and transformation.
Restorative classes are completely blissful. We all need to be pampered and a Restorative class is like a mini retreat for the body, mind, and spirit. Expect to walk into a warm candlelit room, hearing beautiful live or recorded music, and being offered simple postures on your back or belly. You are welcome to simply lie still if that’s what you need. Our teachers are expert guides into the deeper kinder places of self that we too often neglect. Take advantage of Restorative classes whenever they show up. For some these compliment your more physical classes, for others they serve as the most necessary maintenance.
We’ve named our Restorative class LAVENDER for it’s beautiful, compassionate and soothing quality.

I wasn’t certain what Soul Mapping would entail, and going through the session I wasn’t certain what to make of it. But what I feel and knew almost immediately after leaving last night is that my energy shifted and whatever was making me feel depleted previously was no longer present. I had a moment of awareness that I had returned to myself and felt empowered in a way that I have not in a long while. I had allowed my energy to be given without being able to find it within myself to return to my power of self. The day after, I felt grounded and now have a sense of clarity. I’m making good choices. I am feeling amazing!read more »
